We act as independent expert for the German Federal Government in order to assess the legal and economic risks of international project finance ventures in interdisciplinary co-operation with Ernst & Young GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. Our lawyers practicing in this field dispose of long lasting experience with project finance cases all over the world and entertain excellent relationships with contact persons of the Federal German Government, Euler Hermes Kreditversicherungs-AG, project sponsors, banks and exporters.

In order to ensure highly efficient and expeditious treatment of these complex ventures we have developed genuine software that is customized for these purposes. The software not only allows for networking around the globe when working on a project but also guarantees complete traceability of our findings to its sources at any time. In this way we create a high level of transparency and avoid duplicate work.

The vast experience from our involvement as independent expert is of great value to our Project Finance Practice when structuring deals. In close coordination with the other players in the deal we develop the structure of projects, analyze risks associated with the project and create security concepts. Implementing projects we certainly also monitor the satisfaction of conditions precedent and fulfill all other legal controlling duties.

It goes without saying that we also advise clients who are not involved with project finance cases as sponsor or lender but still part of the deal, e.g. exporters when negotiating EPC- or supply agreements.
